Job Description: The Store Clerk / Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for receiving, recording, storing, and issuing stock while ensuring accurate inventory records, proper documentation, and adherence to warehouse safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities Goods Receiving & Dispatch
• Receive incoming stock and verify quantities and condition against delivery notes.
• Report any discrepancies or damages immediately.
• Route and scan products prior to dispatch to ensure delivery accuracy. Stock Control & Inventory Management
• Update inventory records accurately using the system or manual stock sheets.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile stock variances.
• Assist in monthly or quarterly stock audits.
• Monitor reorder levels and notify the supervisor when stock reaches minimum levels to prevent stockouts. Storage & Organization
• Arrange, label, and store items systematically in designated storage areas for easy identification and access.
• Maintain proper segregation of returned or damaged goods in line with company procedures. Stock Issuance
• Pick and pack products accurately according to requisitions or orders. Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain proper filing of waybills and other relevant documentation for traceability.
• Report stock status, discrepancies, and urgent operational issues to the Warehouse Manager. Housekeeping & Safety
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards within the warehouse at all times. Other Duties
• Perform any other duties as assigned under the contract of employment. Qualifications & Experience
• Certificate or Diploma in Stores Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Inventory Management is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in a store, warehouse, or inventory-related role. Remuneration
• Gross salary of KES 25,000 for the first three (3) months during the probation period, subject to performance monitoring.
